Why does hair fall Why does hair fall?Find dozens of hair in your brush or on your pillow paralyzes you? This is normal hair loss is an inconvenience usually reserved for men!

Indeed, if a bald head is nothing shocking in our fellow men, it is much more embarrassing for a woman, the canons of femininity often with large, shimmering mane …

Fortunately, it is possible to find a treatment against hair loss occurring in a woman previously provided to accurately determine the cause.

Once we see the presence of some hair trapped between the teeth in our brush … there arises the question: why hair falls out?

In fact, losing her hair, it’s normal!
Indeed, the hair goes through a cycle of 3 phases: a growth phase “anagen” (for about 5 years), a phase transition “catagen (few weeks), then a phase of decline” telogen “.
This growth cycle is directly linked to genetic factors and hormonal. Thus, a sharp decline, abnormal or excessive hair is often explained by a genetic hormone imbalance.

We consider that beyond a loss of 100 hairs per day, the fall is pathological. If there is a loss of hair scattered that seems significant, or in case of localized hair loss, it is advisable to consult a specialist. This will determine the cause of the fall.

Sometimes the cause of hair loss is evident to the woman who gets treated for cancer, for example, due to treatment with chemotherapy , or radiation therapy directed at the skull. But in other cases, the doctor that you seek medical pose many questions, particularly about any medications that the woman takes.

In consultation

If hair loss abnormal, the best specialist is definitely the dermatologist . Be aware that some of them are even specializing in the management of hair loss. In addition to practicing general review (history of disease, medication …), the doctor will examine your hair so careful, he may even make further investigations (sampling on the scalp, hair), but also blood test.

Following this consultation (sometimes with the help of examinations), the doctor will indicate the cause of hair loss. Sometimes the cause is mechanical drawing too much on their hair into her hair, making braids – we’re talking about alopecia “hot comb” … then it may be a loss of hair follicle degeneration.

> What is it?

A hair loss is called transient diffuse telogen effluvium, because it speeds the passage of hair in the telogen phase (falling phase). This type of fall for the loss of hair or occasional reaction occurring after an abrupt change ( birth , diet with a strict risk of deficiency) or shock (stress, grief, depression …).

> How is she?

It is characterized by a diffuse hair loss throughout the scalp, acute but transient. Moreover, it is reversible, that is to say that the hair will grow back spontaneously and completely.

> Causes:

The causes for this diffuse hair loss and hopefully passing are the following:
- Hair loss season: also called physiological effluvium. In the autumn, for example, it would seem that the hair falls out more than the rest of the year.
- A lack of food: the hair loss is sometimes due to a lack of vitamins and minerals, so it may be advisable to follow a course of dietary supplementation, containing vitamin B , iron, zinc … to limit its importance.
- Stress, fatigue : being too stressed, it is not good for health! And hair either … Indeed, all psychological disorders like stress, depression, grief, fatigue , can cause hair loss.
- Hair loss post-partum: as explained previously, hormones play an essential role in the life of our hair. During pregnancy , estrogen levels increase significantly and behavior tends to be beneficial in stimulating hair growth. After delivery, the rate will sharply decrease, and then cause a drop more or less hair. But this is transient alopecia, and local treatment in the form of a lotion can reduce its severity.
- The use of hair products too aggressive.

While a man’s baldness is quite common and relatively well accepted among the women , loss ofhair often leads to a real complex. Faced with the canons of beauty conveyed by our company, we can easily understand the psychological effects that can cause alopecia.

The women involved were often very difficult to cross the threshold of a specialist to talk about it, and shame, discomfort, lowered self-esteem, accompany their daily lives.

We can therefore advise that, at the first sign of an abnormal loss of hair, consult a doctor who can find as quickly as possible origins of this disorder, and prescribe appropriate treatments.
